Who we are

The Medical Management Program provides patients and their oncologists, as well as the cancer care team, expert assistance in caring for the many and often complex medical conditions patients experience during their cancer journey.

The program provides integrated care for patients undergoing cancer treatment who do not have a primary care physician or may not be able to follow up with or maintain close contact with a primary care physician.

For greater patient convenience and access, the Medical Management Program is located in the Mays Cancer Center.

About us

In addition to improving the quality of care for cancer patients, the Medical Management Program assists oncologists by co-managing non-cancerous medical conditions.

The program is led by a board-certified internal medicine physician with a team dedicated to providing focused medical care for cancer patients and connecting them to health services they may need such as care managers, social workers and other services which support a broad continuum of patient care. The program also helps manage other non-cancerous medical conditions including diabetes, hypertension, weight loss, thyroid disorders, rheumatic disorders, metabolic disorders, allergies and mood disorders, as well as potential side effects from cancer therapy.
